Foreigners Divorce in Poland: 2023 in Numbers by Our Law Firm

Today’s article will be a little different than usual. Taking into account the fact that the year 2023 is coming to an end in today’s post we would like to share with you information on the number of foreign clients served in the period from January to November 2023, as well as the type of cases that were handled most often. 

As you probably know, our Office provides comprehensive legal assistance to individual clients in the Republic of Poland. In addition to serving clients coming from the Republic of Poland, we meet expectations and also offer our assistance to foreigners seeking legal assistance in Poland. 

Therefore, we offer legal assistance in the area of divorce, separation, all matters relating to minors, such as the obligation of alimony, contact with a minor, regulation of parental authority, as well as matters relating to your property after marriage and after its dissolution, i.e. matters of determining the separation of property or the division of joint property. In addition, our law firm also provides services in the field of parental abduction i.e. cases conducted under the 1980 Hague Convention.

According to statistics compiled by us, in 2023, with regard to our foreign clients, we represented them in the greatest number in divorce cases, followed by cases relating to minors such as establishing the obligation of alimony, regulating parental authority and contacts, and finally in cases in the field of property, i.e. concerning at least the division of joint property.

In total, in 2023, our law firm served more than 20 clients only those coming from abroad. We do not mention here clients coming from the Republic of Poland.
